It was a year ago I set it up on blocks. Finally, a small but symbolic move -- putting the wheels back on. A friend of my wife walked right by it yesterday and didn't notice it was a car... that did it!

What's that bucket under the sump? That's how you know it's a Triumph! The body, however, is another story. It's on the other side of the garage and is not pretty. But we're getting there. I know the standard, having had Fred Thomas (R.I.P) over and working in his garage back when I first got it.

Looking great Jim. You can tell that's going to be a beauty when it's done. I like the red header wrap, the webers and the offy valve cover. Nice eye candy.

Cheers

Beautiful. The wrap is striking! And you accomplished it 3 years faster than I did...

very nice Jim! More pics please! Especially that engine. I'm fond of the Offy valve cover as well!

Yeah- that was a Christmas gift about five years ago! Pain to find a suitable matching oil cap, but finally did. Leaked like a sieve this week putting oil in. I thought I hadn't used enough silicone! Wish I trusted my instincts more.

Finished sealing the petrol tank today inside and out with POR-15 (two different products). Off to my local Fastenal to get 8-32x5/8" stainless slotted fillister head screws to remount the gas gauge. DPO used an assortment. Some things I get anal over... and lowes only had Phillips heads. Yeah, I know no one will ever see it, but I'll know. And my as-yet-to-be-conceived grandson will appreciate it.

I also took Randall's advice and ran a set screw up the banjo nut. I must've lost a gallon of gas over the years on LH turns!
