True Christmas eve story:

We lost two of our best, long term, friends threes ago
when their son became a heroine addict. The 40 year old lad had
keys to our house, keys to our cars, access keys to our gated
community, my SS#, knew where the wife kept her jewelry
and the 401K fine art collection on our walls.

The lad stole from us, borrowed from us, used us to finance drug
deals, etc. He lived at home with his parents. We had
to do the tuff love thing and break offs all contact. Re-key all our
locks etc., buy new cars. We did everything we could
think of to help this lost soul and his grieving parents.

Our two friends friends arrived at our door this evening, unannounced,
with a beautiful Christmas basket filled with Puerto Rican holiday
goodies and sweeties. Two months ago, their son was remanded, by court
order, into two years of heroine rehab; 24/7.

We could see the parents looked ten years younger, mu buddy Hector
loves fishing so Tres Gatos it will be; and a few long
trips in Amos to get to renew our friendship!!

What a fabulous gift- Yes, Virginia- there is a God!!
