A trip to the Phillip Island Classic

Since I am now a "jedi hopeful" I had better keep making posts! Who knows how far this could go.
My wife and I are about to embark on a trip in my 100, from our home in SouthEast Queensland to Phillip Island, off the coast of Victoria. The distance is about 1,200 miles so wish us luck.
We are going to view the replica 100S Bonneville Endurance car which Steve Pike of Marsh Classic Rstorations has built for a Dutch Healey enthusiast.
If time permits we might pop over to Bacchus Marsh to check progress on the other replica Steve is building: the 1954 Streamliner.

Bob,
I suggested same to pan earlier, all he has to do upon leaving the island is turn left for about another 2200 miles each way
Yes I'll be there, just organizing canine/accomodation logistics etc

That would make it about the same as our trip to Open Roads at Lake Tahoe in 2002!

We (the Browns for Chicago area and us) will be spending a short time rushing around NZ (unfortunately too short) and then fly to Sydney to meet up with the Gibbs and drive to Adelaide. We fly to Perth and arrive on the 9th. We are really looking forward to the trip. We met most of the racers that came over for the Healey Challenge in 2006. Then we put up the Browns and Gibbs their first night last year when they drove from Chicago to San Diego for Conclave (we wanted to make the trip but it didn't work out).

We'll be easy to spot - the folks with no tan!! Hope to meet you there.

Hi Bob & zblu,
We are now home from the trip to Phillip Island. 2,700 miles!! As well as the "Classic" we also drove part of "The Great Ocean Road" to Apollo Bay. I will attempt to put some photos on this site.
Sorry but we will not be making the trip to Swan Valley for the National meet. Don't worry, there are plenty of "Banana Benders" preparing to make the trip over so they will say "G'day" for me.

Nice Pan,
Met three of your compatriots while they were over here - Wayne, Rod and Graham AKA the Threee Amigos
They should be around Adelaide on the way home by now
