I think the Bugeye had a Brooklands screen and the camera was poorly mounted right behind it (an attempt at a drivers view, perhaps?) variously looking through the screen, at the screen and under the screen! The noise I think is mostly wind-noise on a poorly baffled mike (would have been nice to hear the engine rev!)!!
On the prior video, I did get this synoptic translation from my cousin in France:
So, in the interview Lelouch explains the following :
The race was done in his own saloon Mercedes because they needed to have good
suspensions to minimize vibration on the camera.
He drove it the whole way, no F1 professional in the car but two other passengers with him)
He posted only one lookout with a walkie-talkie so he could be informed if there was any danger under the Louvre arches. He got no message...the &@#§%µ£$ walkie-talkie didn't work.
On the first straight line of the video (Avenue Foch) they reach 200 km/h and 160 km/h while going through Place de la Concorde (the one with the obelisk at the end of the second straight line which is Avenue des Champs Elysées).
The sound track was fitted with the noise of a true Ferrari (motor and gear shift...)
