A-pillar question

Hi guys - I noticed some rust on my passenger side a-pillar so I went after it with the wire brush and discovered this hole and that I have some dents on the pillar.

Sorry for the out of focus picture here;

Here is the hole that was left after I took it back to bare metal. Looks almost too perfect to be a rust spot, was there supposed to be a badge here?

Shot of the dents. Can I bang those out from the inside somehow or do I need to try to pull them? Or, since the metal is solid there still just use filler?

Thanks!

Good guesses. That's possibly one of the best places for waxoyl on the car, I think. Maybe some caring owner in the past thought so, too.

The only badge that would correctly go there is the Leyland badge, isn't it?

I think the Leyland badge went on the fender not the A-pillar - don't think there was ever a badge there. and of course the Leyland badge glued on

I agree with John-Peter....BL badges went on fenders.

Agree with all the above. Also that a bit of bondo after pulling out what you can would be in order.

Bullet hole?

You may want to make certain the hole at the bottom of the A pillar is clear and ensure water/moisture that might get in there drains out. You can use thin wire (like MIG welding wire) and work it into the hole to clear out. You can do that at the botom of the B pillar as well.
