A nice sunny day today

SO I figured I would take it easy, clean the house for the relatives visit for Easter tomorrow and maybe play with my 8 for a little.

So I let Ollie out (my Boston Terrier) this morning and relized the Apple tree (a sapling) I had planted with as a head marker for Buford (my last Boston) was dead and I felt the need to make a trip to Lowes to replace it. Got to Lowes and it was packed, so I grabbed a new Dwarf Apple, then I noticed a weave to help hold grass seed on bare banks so I grabbed two of them, then I realized I probably should get some soil for the tree, then I needed some grass seed for my bank that is bare after two years, and then I figured I needed so futilizer.

$129 (after Military discount) later I was on my way home with and entire days worth of work, then my daughter called from her mom's house and Penelope (her VW Jetta) was not starting and, oh buy the since you are out can she and my son wanted some lunch. I got to the ex's house and was finally able to trace her intermitent starting issues to her fuel pump ($300 but can't get it until Monday). My son ask me to look at the ex's push lawn mower not working (not cleaned since last year and the grass has solidified and I needed to use a screw driver to pry out) and then well may as well change the oil on the mower. The the ex ask why would her car's "Temp" light come on in her car (because her coolant was so low) so I added there.. Oh yeah, a peice of house trim is falling off so I tacked that up.

Went home and planted Buford's new tree, the grass, the fertilizer, the grass matt. Then I pulled the 8 out and ground down a small part of my headers which was catching on my air plug causing a puffing header leak. Then could not find my spare header's gaskets so I had to clean the two rack shelves ( a few shelves for the 8, a few for the Vovlo, and a few for the VW) found the gaskets, finished the job.

Came in to sit down thinking I was done for the day and realize.... I was supposed to be cleaning the house for the Easter get together...

I love these sunny days, I feel like I truly accomplished something today.

Happy Easter to all

And to you too - and, since Easter is all about grace, sounds like you exemplified it today - and that makes a good man.

I got winded just READING that!!!

I was much lazier on Saturday. Just a mowing and trimming of the lawn, a few hours weeding, and helping set up the dining room table and extra chairs for the 14 coming for Easter Sunday Dinner, plus a ride in the TR3B to celebrate the beautiful day...

And Happy Easter!
