a new pretender!

we need a "shudder" omicron. looks like a ride at the fair - with a 580cc 33HP engine - likely drives like a ride at the fair too.

And best of all....it's made in China!

- Doug

which of course means it might actually be an MG :wall:

I saw that on Autoblog this morning. Threw up in my mouth a little...

I rather like this detail:

Coming Soon:
July 17th, 2010:
Convertible top

According to many inquiries there seems to be demand for a convertible top for Norster.

At the moment a roof is being designed for Norster. It will be a simple removable canvas top, which gives protection against sunshine and some light rain. <--- a nod no doubt to it's British inspiration!! LoL

The roof will be available as an accessory and can be retro fitted afterwards.

1170 pounds curb weight
5 speed transmission with gearing reminiscent of the Datsun 210
4 wheel disc brakes and 14 inch tires
needs more chrome

This is just all so wrong. Fiberglass, 33HP and that styling...I will lose sleep over this!
:eeek:

That's 33 point FIVE hp, man. Be fair!

They have an interesting description of the driveability.

"Norster is used typically on picturesque small roads at moderate speeds, when sun is shining and birds are singing. You don't want to use Norster in bad weather on high speed motorways. "

I was ok until I scrolled down the photos and saw the doors and how they open.
Then a side shot and I saw the windsheild. what a mess

and it is no wonder it understeers with all the weight on the rear tyres and nothing but fiberglass in the front.

Maybe it will be a success and pull GM out of the tank with all the motors sold

Kind of like a Vegas Elvis. It just ain't the original...
by a LONG shot.
Oh well, they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Really gives you a newfound appreciation for the lines of the (original) Bugeye. At first, it looks so simple and pure, the shape so friendly and elegant, you'd think anyone could do it just by doodling on a napkin.

Then you see what happens when someone tries. How could someone screw this up so badly?

Interestingly, Mark (abarth69) had his Big Healey to a cruise night on Tuesday - parked next to a Sebring MX.

It looks the same till they are parked together, then the proportions are very different. Not different like This bugeye is defferent, but, more different than I would have expected.

I'm totally doing that door conversion to my bugeye......

yes they are hiding the rake, or lack there of, of the windshield

if you drop an electric engine out back and the batteries out front you would have..... a mess but at least a redeeming quality
