A new front tube shock kit

I am considering doing a short run of my front tube shock kit to fund development of a 5-speed kit for Midget 1500s.

The kit will cost $200 without shocks. The shocks the kit uses cost about $40.00 for the pair.

The kit requires no drilling or modifications to the frame or body of the car and is fully reverse-able. The kit can be installed in a long afternoon.

What do you guys think? Would you be interested in this?

How many test miles do you have on those? And under what conditions?
There is huge product liability when talking about critical components where failure of said component could result in major personal injury or death.
... just something to think about.

I have over 10,000 miles under all driving conditions. I am aware of the liability risks.

In the EXTREMELY unlikely event the shock mount fails, the vehicle will still be very controllable. The car will have a very shaky ride until it is safely off the road.

I'm not sure what your asking. Are you:

A) Comtemplating making a few "kit" for sale to Spridget owners?

B) Have one set your selling becuase you decided that the 5 speed was a better 'investment'?

If it is "A" -- I'm very interested. Got pic's? Any misc ideas? I was going to tackle this in 30 - 45 days.

I am contemplating making a kit to sell to other Spridget owners George. I plan to do a short run of 6 to 12 units at first. But if things go well, I will produce more.

Here is a pic of the prototype. The actually kit will be a little more "polished."

im still waiting on my miata seat install kit :p

I cant tell a whole heck of a lot from the photo but you certainly peaked my interest when you said that there are no modifications to the body or frame.
