I am delighted to report that we have formed a British Car Club on the Cumberland Plateau over the past weekend. The Cumberland Plateau is the largest wooded plateau on the North American Continent. It also happens to reside in East Central Tennessee.
Three of us have been plotting and planning for about 4 to 6 weeks to make this happen. July 12 was our organization lunch and meeting. 21 people showed up driving 7 LBC's. We were really happy to see the turnout.
We discussed future activities, a name for the club and the organization structure (very informal).
There were 3 MGB's a TD, two TR6's and a drop dead beautiful Austin Healy.
Will post some pictures as soon as I figure out how to get them off an email and into a folder.
Fun time had by all.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

With so many existing British Car Clubs around, I would like to know why you decided to start another? Please don't take this as a personal slam I'm just curious. I've been members of various car clubs for the past 20 years and have noticed a decline in memberships and interest (based on activities etc.)

Thank you for posting and good luck with your new group. Any activities planned?

I like car clubs for various reasons- friendships, club meetings, driving events, great resources for parts etc. There are so many factors for a clubs success or demise. Sometimes a marque specific club doesn't have enough people/cars in that area, so offering an all British club might be the answer.

Wish you well with your new club, looks like a fantastic start!
