Love this picture!

In the presence of HM King George VI, Queen Elizabeth and Princess Margaret, Princess Elizabeth prepares to show off her mechanical skills and training under the bonnet of an Army staff car during her time in the service during WWII.

Great picture!

HM George really looks like Philip there!

Great photo. Looks like Elizabeth is really beaming pride for her daughter's involvement in the Effort. She (Queen Consort) herself made radio addresses to the women of the nation, trying to build morale, and urging their increasing involvement in the Effort - and that could include "getting out of the kitchen."

Here's another of Princess Elizabeth, studying map interpretation for the ATS.
