Thats a shame. From where I'm sitting the body does not look that bad.

There was a marina here that put up a really cool looking recreational tunnel hulled skiboat on a pole... It sat there for 5 years after the boat store closed... One day I saw them taking it down... I hope it got to see water /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I agree though... what a shame. (I'm surprised the wheels are still on it). I'll bet the interior is shot though /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It's amazing that the rear quarter panels are not rotten. Heck, it's amazing that the whole thing isn't rotten. I got a nice rusty one I'll swap for up there anyday!

Man, that's a ROUND WHEEL ARCH MIDGET!! Go offer to buy it!

Several years ago, thanks to eBay, I bought a Triumph Herald convertible that had spent probably a decade or so as a rooftop promotional sign for an autobody shop near Boston, Massachusetts. It had already been stripped of most mechanical and interior bits, and -- perhaps in an attempt to keep from adding to the mosquito population -- had key bits of the floorpans torched out to keep water from puddling inside. At least some of the exterior sheet metal was still usable. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I remember reading somewhere about a trip someone took with an MGA to alaska.....The only other MGA they saw on the trip was on a pole like that infront of some shop....Story included a good pic of it, if anyone knows where this was published please let me know as I probably still have it lying around here somewhere.

Steve....you're more than welcome to use the pic. That's actually the reason I posted it...

Probably Barney Gaylord. The trip was hatched as a crazy on-line idea back in 97.
Sadly, Dick Criswell lost his life in a freak accident on the journey. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
