Hi Gents:

I know this is a long shot, but I'm really in need of these pieces. I want to splice them onto my my RB car--hopefully over the holiday. My hope is that someone has a rusty, unusable car sitting in a field and they are willing to take a cutoff wheel to the bits I need.

I have tons of midget parts to trade and will even part with a bit of cash  So gents, I implore you: please help me with this!!

Below is what I need. The green square is the approximate sheetmetal size I need cutoff for BOTH right and left sizes.

Post over at mgexperience.net, and spritespot.com as well.

I had the idea that you might be able to use the top part of the tail light as a mold to cast a resin piece to use as filler.

I know it's kind of hair brained idea, but it just might work.

They're available brand new for less than it would cost to put a set of old used ones on the car - look in VB's MG catalog.

Tony, you'll have to give me a little more of a clue, I found similar parts in the MGB catalog, but nothing for the Midget body, and they're not quite the same shape between the two cars. Do you have a page number?

Tony, I was also aware that the MGB parts were available but not the Midget parts.
Are they the same?

Chris, just bought two parts cars off craigs list that I am parting out so I think I can help you out. well me and mister sawsall that is let me know if your interested. Alan

Tho not as inexpensive as getting one from one of the members on the forums, you can also go here(https://www.bmh-ltd.com/midgetparts.htm) to get GENUINE parts made in England from the original bucks?

Well, yo9u guys may be correct...the ones for the MGB (VB pg 38, #11-652) don't have the full bottom curve...they just extend the portion under the light down under the bumper....there would still be bodywork needed to finish the rear of a Midget off......sorry.

Alan, I'm interested as well. Been looking a while.

Try Spridgetech.com, give Rod a call I beleive they make those in fiberlgass that can be grafted onto the 1500 quarter panels.

This is off-topic, and I apologize for it. I noticed your cafe moniker, and your link, and thought you might find my old Guzzi amusing. While not a cafe, we seem to share an interest, I hope she may still bring you a smile:

I've got the same problem with Bugsy my '68 on P.S. A Little bit of metal and an English Wheel and I'd be in business.

If it were me, I would hand form some from sheet metal. It would cost a few $ for the metal plate and an hour forming them and welding them together.

I bought the panels when I converted Ms. Triss to chrome bumpers. My body shop guy said he would have just fabbed some up rather than me buy them. Of course by then I already had.

That being said, I have a pair of "part 43" LESS the bumps if anyone wants them for postage - i.e. if you have rust on the bottom of your quarter panels behind the rear wheel wells

Hi Gents:

Alan was willing to chop the bits off the back of one of his parts cars, so hopefully I'm in business soon.

Fabbing that panel from scratch would be a bit difficult, especially because I don't own an English wheel...yet

This's car surgery has me a bit anxious!
