This may come as a surprise to those not living in Las Vegas, but there are actually more Catholic churches there than casinos. Not surprisingly, some worshipers at Sunday services will give casino chips rather than cash when the basket is passed.

Since they get chips from so many different casinos, the churches have devised a method to collect the offerings. The churches send all their collected chips to a nearby Franciscan Monastery for sorting and then the chips are taken to the casinos of origin and cashed in. . .

This is done by the chip monks.

That's cruel... doesn't it hurt their cheeks?

did you know that same monastary has a dance troupe as well?

they're known as the Chip 'n Dale dancers .....

SHEESH! I should have known this crowd would chip in!

I'll wager there'll be plenty more who will ante up before the day's out.

(OK, I'm through now - time to fold 'em.)

Church is not a good place to go with a chip on your shoulder.

I understand the same monastary provides this service for the local call girls. They are called chippie monks.

I guess they don't take up an offering at those churches, everybody just chips in.

I heard one of the Monks didn't want to participate - he had a chip on his shoulder!

Yes, they have fish and chips. The monk in ncharge is the Fish Friar.
