A Little Bling for Bugsy II

Bugsy II is a long way from getting back on the road, but I wanted to share a picture of a Late Christmas Gift for Bugsy II courtesy of Erick Moser who crafted this gas pedal for me. I purchased a top hinged accelerator pedal assembly on eBay some time back that I will be installing in Bugsy II and I ran across a picture Erick posted on mgexp.com of a similar modification he performed on his Spridget.

The result beautiful craftsmanship and a much nicer pedal assembly. Reasonable price and he is able to do the same modification if desired to brake and clutch pedals. Ping me if you want contact information. I just wish I had these kind of metal working skills. All Stainless Steel, Two Allen Head, Flush Mounted Stainless Screws attach the pedal with a pair of Nylocks on the back of the pedal. Now if Bugsy was equipped with engine, tranny, an interior, and was mobile I would be testing this one tomorrow. Thanks Erick for a great job.

Very nice!

Most stainless is a bear to work with. That looks nice, do you know what type stainless he used?

Anyone have suggestions for sourcing the later 1500 accelerator pedal assembly (AH Spares doesn't carry them)? I'd like to replace the stock organ style assembly on the Silver Sprite. Thanks, Doug

I haven't decided to install this yet on Bugsy IV but the simple fix is to find a '78 Misget parts car and get the accelerator Prdal out of it and scrap the rest.

Doug, did you check with VB or Moss?

Nice looking pedal there, Jim.

Yeah - no luck either place. And I'd follow up on Jim's advice, but haven't seen any Midgets lately to scrap. Doug
