It has coem to my attention that due to the fact that I will be a predominantly one man show in the dissassembly of Midget. what would you gentlemen (and ladies if any) recommend in the way of making a rolling lift to keep the body off the ground, as well as to provide some clearance for getting under the car. I am thinking some heavy duty 400-400lbs casters, a basic tube steel frame, but I also want to make it adjustable both in width and length to suit a number of vehicles. I figure total supplies to be around a few hundred ( I could actually get most of these for free if I looked) but do any of you more experienced fellows have any ideas of how to make it work. like what kind of steel should I use. tube l-beam, c-beam, I-beam. what kind of jck stands to mount to it, what kind of casters, that don't cost an arm and a leg. that sort of thing.

Oh my god, now that's a vision. Kind of goes along with Jays up side down (dead) MGB.

If you weren't so far away, I've a rotterrisserie - however you spell it - for sale that will take either a Midget or an MGB

Tony -
Will it take a Bugeye Sprite? I am very interested.

My dad made a rotisserie(sp?) out of 4 inch steel pipe (about 3/16 inch wall) because it is what was cheap at the salvage yard. He used some old trailer tires and made the axle like wagon. He used old boat wenches to help with the raising and lowering. Just use what you can find and some creativity. Some people use a pair of engine stands.

John - it will take a Sprite....

You've got a PM

wow, thanks for the responses gentlemen. I wish I could get that rotisserrie from you tony, but you are right distance is a factor. and I like the rool waround idea bwillis, but now the Midget is sitting in between 2 motorhomes, with about 1 foot of space on one side and 3 on the other. a rotisserrie would be nice however, but I wouldn't know how to get the car that high. however seeing that one rotisserie gives me a pretty good place to start to building up one for myself. thanks again gents
