A Harrington Coupe discovered

For those of you in Canada familiar with the writing of Norm Mort in Old Autos... He is their import car writer and has recently purchased a 1962 Harrington Coupe to restore (in Ontario).

It's a Type B model that he purchased out of Pennsylvania, with some extra goodies, including a spare George Hartwell converted 1592 engine (higher compression, polished ports, stronger valve springs, special cam, oil cooler, lightened flywheel, balanced clutch and crank), apparently this particular Hartwell engine is capable of speeds over 100 mph.

But then, those who know Norm a little, we'll see how long he keeps this car for... He has a habit of buying and selling classic cars quite frequently.

We can only hope the restoration of such a rare car will preserve its period modifications, and that it will not become a static exhibit in a museum.
I am sure a number of VARAC members would love to own it if he does decide to sell it on!
Simon.

Found this nice painting of one. I guess there is a "Harrington" and a "Harrington LeMans".
