Peg and I had the pleasure of meeting NutmegCT, Tom Morehouse, over Thanksgiving at Old Sturbridge Village. Tom gave us a personal tour of the farm where he does farming to help recreate the 1830's for those of us who visit this wonder place. I posted some photos from OSV that some of you might enjoy. It was great to put a face to one of my friends here, and to learn a lot over the holiday, as well as meeting Paul, a wagon driver, who is originally from eastern PA and is a fellow British Car fanatic. He even held a wagon full of tourists at a stop while we discussed our interest in the cars which did not exist in 1830, but shared some of the engineering from that time.
On Friday I visited another of Tom's places where he is an active part of history - NEAM - the New England Air Museum. I was glad to see their restoration shops, as well as there extensive collection. It was better than being in line at Wal*Mart at 4 am.

COOL! I'm envious - will have to get up that way one of these days.

And hopefully, it goes without saying that if anyone is ever in the Clarksville area, the coffee's on and the beer is cold!

Great! Always interesting to face-to-face with folks of like minded interest. I'm always eager to put real faces to the avatars here. Very neat, fellas.

Excellent story!

I've met a couple of fellow BCF'ers at car shows around here. It's always a thrill to put a face with the name (or in this case avatar).

One thing you can be sure of when you meet another BCFer: he's an LBC nut just like you!

Cheers to you both, thanks for posting the photos.

Yikes! Now the FBI knows what I look like!

It was great to meet Dave and Peg, and share some of the things that make life interesting in my neck o' the woods.

Dave - those Flickr pictures you posted are wonderful. Talk about a man with a gift ... you're quite a photographer sir!

And to realize that the guy who drives our 1830's "carry-all" (horses and wagon) is another LBC nut as well - it's a small world indeed.

Welcome home Dave!
Tom
