I'd seen this movie on TV a couple years ago, but recently found it in the bargain bin at WalMart and pick it up. Secretariat - what a great movie staring Diane Lane as John Malkovich. The movie captures the climax at Belmont very well and is very believable and true to the real 1973 Belmont:

In the 41 years since Secretariat won the Triple crown, no horse has come close to the record set at Belmont or the commanding lead he held at the finish line. If you happen to catch this movie, keep an eye out as they pan the crowd of extras during the Belmont scenes and you will spot, if only for a second, the real Penny Chenery, owner of Secretariat.
