TR2/3/3A A gearbox additive?

I'm getting a slight whine, but nothing major, from the gearbox. I'm running 80/90 gear oil. I was wondering if there is an additive (Duralube?) etc. that I could add as a temporary fix? I've heard of Redline gear oil but I know for some Getrag boxes(not TR3) there tends to be leaks as the fluid is so thin. Anybody used Redline as their gearbox oil or can recommend an additive for the 80/90?

If you can get it go for a straight gear oil
I use this

Dynolite Gear Oil 40, 1 litre

As recommended by gearbox builder and I have an A type OD
And it doesn’t stink like the EP stuff I used to use.

I would be wary of additives especially if you have an OD in case it slips.

Are you sure it's the gearbox and not the differential? It sometimes can be hard to tell.

Probably just predictable gearbox wear. Use a good oil and that's about all you can do, short of pulling the box and rebuilding it.
