So I managed to sew the edging to the top of the rear carpet section yesterday. Difficult due to the size of the carpet piece. It doesn't want to cooperate when running it through the sewing machine. The machine is doing reasonably well despite only being a domestic sewing machine. It struggles pulling the needle out of the carpet if the speed of feed is to slow. Then the belt slips - i think it probably could be fixed with a different diameter belt pulley - as both more torque and a slower more measured feed rate would be good.

Also I picked up the seat belt brackets from my mate, as well as the licence plate bracket. Both look good. I can mount them today. Also the replacement seat belts arrived in the morning - the supplier had forgotten to fit the chrome buckles to the order, and they just sent another set! So I have spares.

Seat photos here.
