McDonald's, in their effort to make the Happy Meal more healthy for kids, is gonna reduce the calorie content of said kids' meal by 20% starting in September. To do this, they are cutting the number of french fries in half! Slick move, if they cut the price of the darn thing....

You guys sound like Fox news.
How about the whole story

Thw whole stoy is 50%, so we can't give you the whole thing...that's the story.

I'm still trying to dig half a hole.

Believe it or not ,this town is starting to swing the other way.
Must be those Californians a few years ago

The rest of the story? They're cutting the fries and adding apple slices. Right now they're optional but after the change they'll be standard.

I heard a radio interview about this subject (child obesity) with a head shrink the other day. He says children see fast food commerials as many as 1000 times per year. That's hard to fight.

Thousands of commercials peddling bad food to kids notwithstanding, where are the parents of these obese kids? Poverty deserves some blame, but not all.

Where are the parents??? :nonod:

Sigh

I know where the parents of my grandsons are. The other day I mentioned that there was a McDonalds at the London Eye. The 4yr old knew what the London Eye was but said "what's McDonalds?"

Deep fried apple slices ?!?!?!?!?! :jester:

I'm gonna venture that the apple slices will end up in the trash bin and they'll just order TWO orders of fries instead of one.

McD's will make MORE profit on this deal, and the fat kids will just get fatter. :cryin:

I think I'll have a nice slice of tofu and a tall cool glass of alfalfa sprout juice for lunch!

...or I'll go get a double green chili cheese burger with extra fries and a malt! Decisions decisions.
