A Day of Progress

Yesterday was real day for me and "Molly". The weather was unusually warm and a real day for a little out door wrenching. Took my last parts order from Tony and got started.

I installed a new valve cover gasket. My DPO had glued the old one to the valve cover so that was interesting. Now I know why Tony hates adhesives on gaskets so much. I then installed a new heater valve. My DPO had installed the old one with a thick wad of, guess what, RTV. I installed new screws in my drivers door lock, put on new pedal pads, fixed my reverse lights and refilled my cooling system.

The only sad note to this is that I found some coolant oozing out of the head. I'm going to try some kind of stop leak for now but next year I'm going to start looking for a new head. Oh well nothings perfect. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

So, John, how far to "THE" drive?

Well if all goes as planned , I'm taking her to the county court house for inspection next week. Then to a Christmas parade on Dec. 9th. I will have pics!
