A date is set..

A quick search for "Nanjing" and "MG" on a news search engine makes it pretty obvious that it is not very realistic. There are lots of stories from mid-december about how they don't even own the brand legally in Europe!

And I agree anyways... it needs at the very least to be redesigned. That'll never happen though. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nopity.gif

I'm afraid these are going to be the new standard of "disposable cars". Probably quality along the lines of Harbor Freight tools. Instead of Lucas, we'll all be cursing the day-glo orange of " Chicago Electric ". /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/pukeface.gif

Yeah, Jack, but it you sold it, you'd have to pay a toll every time you wanted to take Miss Agatha for a spin!

...& there'd still not be any new MG TF's on it!

They tested it. The Walmart in Richmond, TX (where I used to live, just outside Houston) had an onsite used car lot that Walmart owned. I can't remember what they branded it, but it looked like they were selling mostly late model fleet and possibly former rental cars. They closed it less than a year after they opened it.

EDIT: Here is a write up about it, I didn't know that the test was that small.

I'm really surprised Wally world doesn't sell cars.
