Hi folks - finally had a sunny warm-ish day (nearly 60!), so I put the B on the asphalt today, top down with my el cheapo wind deflector behind the seat. For those lucky to live in southern New England, a nice afternoon drive is:
Rt 44 east from Pomfret to Rt 89 in Warrenville.
Rt 89 south to Rt 195 in Mansfield.
Rt 195 south to Rt 6 in Windham.
Rt 6 west to Rt 169 in Brooklyn Center
Rt 169 north back to Rt 44 in Pomfret.
It's all 2 lane blacktop, winding country roads, 18th century houses, farmland, hills and dales, and lots of state forests. In another month the mom and pop ice cream stands will be open. Lots of other routes to follow, which I'll post as I re-take them.
My first drive since November - a great way to start the season.
And maybe a section with suggested LBC drives all around the country would be useful to us all?
Best wishes to all.
Tom
