I went over the Blue Ridge to the Shenandoah Valley British Car Club show today. There were some brave souls there who endured rain, cold, and wind. What a stark contrast to last year's show with perfect weather under the trees in Ridgeview Park. This year the show was moved from the park due to several inches of rain falling in the last 24 hours(I wouldn't be surprised if some of the park was under water!)
I didn't arrive until just after noon so people were understandably a bit wet and cold. I did manage to talk to a few folks, noteably the fellow in the white MG who had driven up from Raleigh. Some of the MG's are shown in the attached pic. The ZA magnette is headed back to the UK. It looked a little lonely all wet and by itself in the parking lot but had a couple of old Singers (one trailered) close by. What a miserable day for a show. Those who participated were real troopers. Me? I left Mistress B back in the dry garage. Sigh - I had planned on driving her over today but the weather was just too horrible. Maybe next year.
