A Chiva Bus for the frozen north

One of my local contacts spotted it on the weekend, I was able to track it down today after work, I suspect some of you may know what a Chiva Bus is, I didn't, had to look it up, think South American party bus... And the bus in question is a 1959/60 International B-163 school bus, don't see one of those every day, no matter what the paint job... And yes, that's snow on the ground still, more on the way in the next two days...

That looks more comfortable than the Chiva we were on in the Galapagos Islands. The seats were church pew straight, no padding, and you had to crawl up about 40 inches just to get into the seats. Not a party bus but it got us there.

The interior of this one appears to be a work in progress, with no seats left in it, although it is registered for the road...

I'd drive it.

Just got a reply to my e-mail, just a brief response, it sounds like it needs some engine work to run properly...
