A bit of progress

Looks good, Ray. Very good.

Wonders if you had the rear springs apart?

Jack

This is the same ten spring set that was on the original Whitephrog. They had less than 1000 miles on them so I just repainted without disassembly.

Ahhh, not paint between leaves then.

I would not worry yet, press on. it will settle quite a bit, several inches, with the rest of the parts on and a bit of driveing.

:iagree: it will settle

I think I'll crawl back under the rear, loosen everything, give it a few pushes, then re-tighten everything. I measured from the garage floor to the bottom of the rocker panel front and rear. Within 1/8" of being 9 1/4" all around. Does that sound about right unloaded?

Loosen everything up, put jack stands under the rear axle with the tires just off the floor, and then tighten everything back up. The rear suspension needs to be loaded. Will be a very tight fit! I raised the entire car up on 4 jackstands to get it as high as possible so I could get underneath to tighten everything.

Miss Agatha was 9 inchs unloaded. Had me concerned as well.

All fine now.

I used aluminum spacers under the leaves (where they meet the frame), and also took off 2 or 3 of the leaves. Worked perfectly.
