Had my neighbors over, pulled the bonnet. Intresting how neighbors get into it, not much of a job but they seem to have fun being part of it.

Straightened the drivers side hinge. Now measures as close to the passanger side one as I can measure 1/16ths.

Think the bonnet will now go all the way closed on that side, yep it was off a significant amount and was not comming down all the way. Not too bad a job when you can get to the darn thing.

Engine out is next trick as soon as bud gets back end of week.

New clutch and disk ordered, pump on hand. All is good.

Good work Jack! I knew you would get that hinge "perfect" /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

The cut pump is supose to fit. I think that was the mod the manufacture made to make them fit. Expect it fits fine on a 1098 that has a larger cover but the 948 is the smallest of the bunch.

Jack, this spring I put 1700 miles on the BE without the bonnet. It is kinda fun to see the front suspension working. You could really hear the roar of the SC which is muffled with the bonnet on. All my friends were amazed I didn't get ticketed, but I did get a world of thumbs up.

Yep, that's how I do my testing as well.
