A bit of bragging - singing the National Anthem

On August 21, I was able to be part of the National Anthem at Camden Yards for a Rangers-Orioles game. Last night at our chorus' board meeting, the director brought the video that the Orioles organization kindly sent him. I had to share this part of my life here...

Great, Dave! So nice to hear it done properly, and somehow sounds right with all male voices.

:thankyousign:

Thanks for sharing Dave, that must have been a great thrill and honor.

Dave :savewave:

Thanks guys. This is a fun group to sing with, as I have been part of the group since the first formation meeting 20 years ago. We have done a number of AAA baseball games and about 8 Phillies games, but this was our first invitation to travel to Baltimore to sing. Great stadium, and a great day!

Saturday afternoon in Baltimore with Cliff Lee pitching for the Rangers, and the crowd was only somewhat larger than the 9500+ the AAA IronPigs average here in Allentown...
But it meant that the Orioles gave a free ticket to each singer, a better deal than we get ANYWHERE else.

Very nicely done. Wonderful arrangement.

Nicely executed, Dave!

Just got a chance to view this....well done!

'Cause you're thinking of TV station sign off.

Remember sign off, where the TV would actually shut up and the world would actually sleep???

You're right Mickey, it does sound right. Freedom was won the same way.

This makes me think of my good friend Tercy, a WWII vet. He sang this every day for five years through the barrel of his Garand. He's fought that war every day and night since. He's now 92.

I think we regular citizens sometimes forget that all gave some, some gave all and some are still giving.

Thanks to you guys who served!!!!

Thanks for sharing that Dave.

:iagree: Well done but don't know which one is you. I'm guessing that you're wearing the white shirt because you said so.
