I have a 1966 Midget that is completely disassembled. It's what you would call a "basket case" complete with all parts and some strange extras (6 S.U. carbs, exhaust header, extra dash, etc.)

I would like to sell it this spring in favor of a less extensive/expensive project.

Should I sell it all together or part by part? How much should I ask for? Is Ebay the way to go or a classified add here on the forum?

Your expert opinion is appreciated.

Thanks.

The vultures within this forum will pick that carcas apart in no time, myself, hungrily included.
The choice of where to sell parts is entirely your descision. Harder to come by parts will go quickly here whereas more common parts will go on ebay anyway.
I would assume that you'd get more $ if you sold it by the part, as I've seen basket cases on ebay go for a mere coupla hundred if that.
What do y'all think?
Photgraph everthing whether you choose ebay or not.

You would probibly get more for it if you sold the parts seperately on ebay... that being said I'll buy the whole lot for $50

Hmmm if only you were a bit closer...It would certianly be worth more to put together. But still only worth so much. Why was the car dissasembled? What does it need? Whats missing?
If i were to ebay somthing like that, it would be as a basket case, not piecemeal. And of course it is a great thing that you mention it here first, cuz it gets the chance to be appreciated again, by a caring forum member.

So how much?

Please let us know here first don't trust Ebay I would post pics or at least a list of what u have/want for the parts or whole lot

hmmmmmm......my collection needs a MkII Midget....

You'll have to drive past me to get there Tony!
Those bumpers might 'fall off the back of a trailer'?

Na, Barry - my collection needs one that's complete...I don't have time for another project!

Ain't that the truth, he has mine. hehe.

Don.......

I suggest all together with a the parts inventory list.

The reason I say this is that over the past 2 years I have had ads in most of the usual places for suspension, body and interior parts, doors , lids etc.........64-74 Spridget ......I have even placed ads lately of "free.....you remove" and some really cheap deals....only calls are 'does it fit a Bugeye". Interior parts and body parts are not sellers. You might sell the lump (if its a 1275) and the trans and the front discs and be left with all the body parts.

Good luck....

If you do decide to strip it Don, please let us know, I travel to Tinley (Howe center) for work quite a bit and would be happy to deprive you of some of the bigger ticket items within.
Whatever you decide to do, best of luck to you.
