A bit more progress

Gorgeous, Ray!

Aha, mounting an HIF? Two things I found helped with mine: 1/ make a heat shield (I used sheet aluminum and that thermal fabric which is sold as protection for starter motors - starts first pop no matter the heat soak) and 2/ if you are using the HIF, get one of the big motorcycle part catalogues and get the HIF float bowl extender, adds a couple of ounces to the bowl, again helps resist vapor lock and fuel starvation on cornering, costs about $15.

She's a beauty! Can't wait for the Varoooom posts.

The factory painted the original 948cc engine and smooth case transmission Morris engine green. The 1275cc engine was also painted Morris engine green but the ribbed case transmission was left natural aluminum. Since I have the 1275cc engine and ribbed case transmission in a Bugeye I decided to paint both green. Correct color for the car but not for the transmission.

looks great - almost like a toy or doe cast just because of the three bold colours - green/ bright yellow and white in the background - cool!
