GT6 A 69 GT 6+ production date

Would anyone have information about build dates for a 69 6+? I have a 6+ with a commission number of KC51120LO. I have no plate or anything stating a build date. I’ve read that 69’s were built from July 68 starting at #50001 to October 69 #58046. So if they only built 8046 vehicles in 15 months that’s 536 per month, maybe. So would you assume if mine was 1120 into the run that it might have been produced in late September 68 or somewhere in October 68?
I guess I could pay the British car museum and get their printout but I was hoping there was a cheaper way to go. What I also thought was weird is that my body number is 50 or so later than the commission number.
Any help would be appreciated.

According to John Thomason's Spitfire and GT6 Guide to Originality: KC 50,000 in July, 1968 to September, 1969; "Improvement Package" September, 1969 KC 7503; final car KC 83397, December, 1970. A little discrepancy between Thomason and my Victoria British catalog of December 20219. Mike Cook, in The Triumph Spitfire listed production figures" total 12,066 and U.S. sales 9,616.

The body number was a part of the body manufacturer's inventory system separate from Triumph, British Leyland, commission number inventory system. Also early on, the cars were often titled in the year sold, not by any number form the factory. A left over '67 car, an actual 67 car and a factory designated '68 car may have been titled as a '67 when it left the dealer.

Not sure how much help this is, but I had fun dong the research. I'm betting some one else has a better handle of the figures.

thanks Trevor. I’ve heard about the manufacture year and the year sold before.
