Wasn't sure where to put this but, this rocket powered race car was built and raced in 1932 by Sig Haugdahl at the Bo Stearns speedway. Who said those old time racers weren't afraid to try anything. Seat belts, roll bars, what are those things?
Looks like a drum brake on the rear left wheel. Probably another on the right side. If it's a race car, how many laps can it do. Rockets aren't known for their longevity.

I would think such a car would be used for top speed records rather than distance racing. Either that or for exhibition purposes. After all, pretty much anything powered by rockets is going to look spectacular!
