Hello all. This will be my first of hopefully many posts. I'm looking a picking 90 xjs that is in need of a front clip, fenders, hoods, everything for the most part. One option I'm considering is picking up an entire car, using what I need and then parting it out. What years and styles will fit on the front end of the 90 xjs? Please give me some input so I can decide wheather or not to get the car. Thanks

Hi there, and welcome to the BCF. If I'm not mistaken, the front panels on the XJ-S are interchangeable, as there were only detail styling changes for the front end. No doubt one of our resident XJ experts will be able to confirm (or deny) my statement. Certainly the hood will fit. Good luck!

91 and earlier will all fit as long as you are replacing everything. I think the same is true of '92 and later, but I am not sure about the curve of the door skins.
Welcome to the Forum and good luck with your project.

When you say replacing everything, you're talking about hood, fenders, bumper, and headlights right? That is what I have to replace anyways. I want to avoid doing doors and more.

Yeah, everything forward of the doors. There have been minor changes to bumpers and such so in order to be sure...

Like I said before, I am not sure about the curves in the body panels of the "Post Facelift" cars... but I do know that bumbers, grills etc are dramatically changed. (well, dramatic for a Jag) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
