Cleaning out my shop>>>selling and giving things away as we're getting ready to make a trip to our Fl place in a few weeks. Would have normally either been on the way or already there but have a few cars to get finished...one being this 90 Jag I picked up. Long story so won't bore anyone but after lying in a recycling yard for a year, I got the car. I popped the hood, checked all the fluids, dropped a new battery in and cranked it up. Drove it up on my dolly and took it to my shop. NO check eng lites....everything works perfectly. its a very dark charcoal type color with tan leather(also unblemished) Paint is oxidized on upper panels but otherwise very nice. Sunroof, windows...everything works. One rear wheel has a slight looseness in bearing but will be corrected this week. Oil pressure, temp...everything is fine. Has 107k original and after two new tires and fresh paint hope to find it a new home.

No worries - moving it over.

Not having seen this car... I gotta tell you folks, if you want a daily driver Jag, this car is it. The 90 thru 94 XJ6s (otherwise known as XJ40s) are pretty doggone good cars, easily capable of 200K plus miles. The interiors hold up pretty well, and the "known Faults" that all cars have are easy to solve. Parts seem top be plentiful, although some are only available used... still, if you have a hankering to DRIVE a Jag every day, the XJ40s do pretty well. I get 18 MPG in everyday 50/50 city highway commuting ( in the DC area where every single light is red no matter what) and mid to upper 20s on the road. In the last 15K of driving mine, I have changed the oil, and the belts, (and repaired some other damage caused by an errant driver), and I think maybe a set of pads. OK cars, kinda like the Dodge Dart of Jags...

been working on the thing when I have time. Amazed at how tight it is. NO check eng lites..purrs. Wish I had a need for it. Interior is flawless. My son is going to try to find time to prep it for paint while we're on our trip to Fl. Hope...hope.
