89 years and still rolling

Great story and lots of fun, but nothing entirely new either...

I remember a U.K. news article reprinted in a car club newsletter once (about 2002 or so?), about a lady who was the original owner a late-1930's Morris... The car had been in continuous use all those years and was still on the road, I don't recall how much mileage was involved but still a commendable feat

And I recall seeing a 1938 Wolseley for sale around 2001, the car had apparently been a one-owner non-restored car for it's entire life until the previous year, when I presume the original owner passed away

And in 1999 I met a local man who was the original owner of an MG TD, at the time in the early 1950's it was the only car he and his wife owned and the car they brought their first child home in, at one point the car was parked up, then later on he restored it, but in his elderly years when I met him he was still the original owner...

THAT is a great story. Thanks for sharing it. And I love her "equalizer". I'll bet she can use it too!

Wow, that brings back memories. The first car I remember our family owning when I was a boy was a 1964 Mercury Comet (I don't remember what we had before that but I definitely remember our dark green (with white hard top) Comet.
