I have a set of old 87mm Venulia aluminum pistons , but I cannot find any rings because the company is out of business. Can I interchange rings with a different company? Probably a dumb question.

I would think so, assuming your pistons were correct to start. Not sure your model, but are the pistons 3-ring? You can measure the ring groove width and compare to spec. And check across the piston to be sure. That latter should be 87 mm of course. Which is Grant 86+040 IIRC.The shop manual also gives ring gap, and you can check that in the sleeve bore. Finally I think you can verify groove depth from the shop manual as well, if all match I’d think you’re good.
