MGB 78 mgb horn issue

Tested both horns, they work. Replaced the switch on the steering column. Horn on front right has two wires in and two out. Left has only two going in. Colors are pink(maybe lavendar) and pink with black stripe.

Any ideas where to look?
 
Tom - on mine (75/76) the wiring runs same as yours. The horn with two wires in and two out actually feeds the other.

As you don't specify your problem in your post, I'm assuming you can't get the horn to work by pushing the steering wheel center. Mine didn't work either, until I pulled the center and filed off the 3 rusty spring/contacts, which provide continuity from the cover to the column. It wasn't the switch at all - it was those 3 (oxidized) contacts.

Try filing or sanding those three "springs" and let me know the result.

There's a good tech article located at https://www.shadetreemg.com/tootin.htm that goes through horn troubleshooting. I had problems with the horns in my 76 and this article was VERY helpful. I also bought a cheap harmonic balancer puller to pull the steering wheel and it worked very well. I had tried the rubber mallet trick, a steering wheel puller, etc and none of them worked.

In the horn itself? Yes, horn is not working at all. New switch and the horns were tested with live wires and worked ok.
 
No, the horn is activated with a swith/stick on the left side of the column. It is not in the center of the steering wheel. The little switch is pushed toward the steering column and the horn should work. That switch was just replaced today, it is new.
 
Tom - it's the horn relay.

It's under the hood near the right front horn. When you push the horn button you can hear the relay click. If there's no click - you may need to replace the relay.
