Found one of these the other day. A previous owner had replaced the front disc with an earlier drum, not the forks just the wheel. The current owner said the front disk tended to grab on these and the drum was better. Ever heard of this?

Not yet Doug. I am still researching the front brake bit. I would like to return it to the original configuration. I get concerned about mods like that, especially back dated ones.

Man, were it near me, it'd be sitting next to my '72 Norton right now....brake conversion back to original is easy!

Still working on it. Got side tracked a bit this week. Wife's mom passed away and I ended up in a doctors office getting an EKG, stress test is scheduled for later this week. Crap, I don't want to croak before obtaining the maximum amount of toys. A room mate had a 650 when I was in college in the early 7O's. It was alot of fun. We were living in this awful dump so we added some additional carpet to the floor and overhauled it in the dining room.

Were there only some easy way to get it here!

Sorry to hear about family issues...& you've gotta stay in the contest (<span style="font-style: italic">"he who dies with the most toys wins"</span>)...I'm only in 6rd place!
