77 MIDGET RIM QUESTION

Okay, I swore I wouldn't do this again...... After restoring three vettes and one gt40 kit car, I figured I'd get a fun little driver. WRONG!! I started with a California 77 Midget that was pretty clean and rust free. I've pretty much sorted through the mechanicals, lost the cat, added weber, new head, starter , distributor etc. I'm pretty attached to this little devil and I drive it to work whenever weather permits.
At this point, I've decided to mint it out and want it to have a bone stock appearance. On a 77, should the rims be solid black or should they be trimmed in silver? I've seen them both ways, Which is correct? Thanks-
