MGB 77 MG B oil cooler

Just wondering if anyone has done an oil cooler install on a 77 B. I don't understand why BL would delete the cooler. Thoughts?

I had a 1977 when I lived in Virginia - I transplanted the oil cooler from an unsavable (due to rust) 1971. It went in just fine, but slighty longer hoses would have been helpful to get around the newer style radiator setup.

I installed one years ago on my '78. 1977 would be the same. Captive nuts are already in place to mount the cooler underneath the panel. Hooking up the hoses it a bit tight. Be sure you get the correct hoses for a '77 or later car.

Production costs would be my WAG on why. The install is straightforward with the later hoses, as mentioned. There are coolers for the earlier car that are a bit taller (higher capacity) than the last production ones. Not sure when the change was made.
