TR6 76 TR6 Brake Servo

I bought a new servo from Moss and attempted to use the original nuts (in good shape)to secure it inside the firewall (new servo does not come with the nuts). Apparently the original servo nuts were 5/16 coarse thread and I don't know what the new one requires. I got all four of the original nuts going (not easy) and really cranked one about a third of the way down before I woke up and realized it was not going to work (really stripped about 1/3 of the threads on one stud).

I went to the store and tried 5/16 fine threads and 8mm fine threads, neither of which will go more than one thread with your fingers.

Any ideas on how to proceed? I cant try to clean-up the threads I ruined until I am sure what size it is.

Many thanks!
