Hey all...Just found this site today. I have a question. I just purchased my B and am in serious need of a steering column cowl. Can't find one at Moss or Victoria British. Any suggestions out htere?
Stand by, Tony Barnhill may be along to help. He's the likely candidate to have one or get you one.
And welcome to *THE* best forum on the 'net! We like photos, BTW, so if you have one of your car y'oughta post it! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
I'm leaning towards temporary insanity. Looks like it came straight from some farmers north 40. The only reason I decided to go for it was that it has just had some major mechanical work completed. I just need to make it Pretty!
mehheh. There's aught wrong with a good running but shabby lookin' LBC. Kinda gives that "tool-like" impression! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif
Rust on all four fenders, seat covers look worse than soiled diapers, windows yellowed and knocked loose, hood and deck lid bent, paint faded, some idiot painted all the brake hardware bright red...need I say more? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nopity.gif
hehee... I guess the DPO didn't want to mistake the brake hardware for something -unimportant- then. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif
I was driving this '64 in much the same condition for a few years. Rolling white rat, more-or-less. Finally got to the point where folks were sayin': "Why don't you SCRAP that thing and get a REAL car?!"
They're all "Oooh's and Ahh's" now tho: "I didn't know you could ~DO~ that to a car!" meh-heh.
The "red" Parts are new!!! Just have brain dead morons around here...guess it's the ski bum mentality. Anything to pass the time untill it snow again...by the way picked up the ride in Steamboat Springs! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif
Yea...it's going to be a whole new world! Never painted, carpeted, etc. Started building my tool collection about three years ago with this type of project in mind. Now, got the tools, time to see what destruction I can cause! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hammer.gif
WOOHOO!!! Don't shy away from the "Panel Bond" epoxies. I'm astounded by what's available as body materials now. VP-50 is a Valspar high-solids epoxy primer you may learn to love as well. Beats the K-2 stuff all to Hades and back.
"And baby I love you... BEEP-BEEP, Mmm-BEEP-BEEP, YEAH!"
Just a little bit kooky right now. Couldn't help with the "B". Actually I am huge fan.
Been in the garage since 8:00 am and am exhausted. My other posts tell the tales.
