Afternoon all
Question: On a 73 TR6 Temp Gauge, which spade does the Green/Blue wire connect to when looking at the Temp Gauge from the rear? Left or right

Thanks

I think it goes on the left. It's the ground wire. I'm not sure it will do any harm if it's reversed. "GU" is the Green/Blue wire

My GU is on the right when looking at it from behind. Maybe that's what's frying my voltage stabilizer. Fuel gauge works fine. I want to make sure before I hook up the GU wire again and lose my last voltage stabilizer

Without actually looking behind my dash, I was just taking a guess.
Maybe someone that has access to their gauge will post what they have.

From the indispensable Dan Master's book in Chapter 15 "GAUGES" he writes under the "Polarity Concerns" topic:
"Being thermal devices, neither the voltmeter, the fuel level gauge, nor the water temperature gauges are polarity sensitive. That is you can connect them up either way and they will still work just fine"
