73 e-type front overriders

I am going to replace the ugly rubber front overriders on my 73 OTS with the smaller chrome ones.

Any tricks I should know or be aware of or is it pretty straightforward. Have gotten varied opinions.

I don't think it is that easy. There is some sort of mounting structure for the 73 over riders, and I don't think the smaller ones just bolt up.

I'll agree with Jesse. There's a bit more structure in there IIRC. There's a '74 V-12 currently in our shop but I'm 50 miles north and have not been actively working there for years. Chassis is off being "dipped" ATM. I'll ask if some pix of the bonnet and braces may be possible. No earlier example to compare with, mebbe the boss has some photos of his for comparison?

...I believe his is still unassembled...

Thanks guys:

Talked to a guy on ebay who had his car for sale who switched his overriders....said it was "straightforward..but couldn't quite remember".

Others have said it was more complex..

Either way I will be takling this on Saturday when I get my car out of the paint booth.

Will leave my findings on the sight for future reference.

Pete
