'72 Midget Gas Tank Replacement

I have a '72 Midget that needs a new gas tank. My gas looks like brewed coffee. Thanks ethanol! I have a new gas tank and sender. The underside of my car is very rusty. It was my Dad's, purchased new in 1972.

Any tips on gas tank replacement?

I feel like I've seen a DIY for it before, but can't find it. Anyone have a link they care to share.

Super easy, just undo the line and filler hose, remove all but two opposing tank nuts and drop it down by removing the last two. You can hold in place with a jack but sometimes I jam my knee up under it and hold it in that way while I back the remaining nuts off the last few threads.
 
Ethanol is just cleaning the junk out! Drane it and don't worry about it unless it leaks.

Thanks for the replies guys. I took a look at how corrosion welded the bolts were on the studs below the tank and decided to flush what I could between the filler and the drain plug. Filled it up and it ran like a top.

Seems like it would be just less invasive to keep running it and replacing fuel filters. I'll save the tank swap for winter when having the car down for possibly a long time wont matter.
 
I don't know that PB blaster will do it. The bolts are literally corroded onto the studs in dome shaped balls of rust. There isn't even a definable flat to get a wrench on anymore. I'm thinking I'll have to drain the tank, evacuate it from vapor, and cut the studs. Then re-weld.
