I fell in love the the MGB in my teens, my brother and I bought the only one we could afford a 73 it was rusty in all quarters. Not knowing what we didn't know we bought panels, took angle grinders and mig welders, then bondo and paint to the car. One MGB let to another MGB and you know how that story goes. Eventually I needed something more reliable and got myself a VW golf to get me to work. Fast forward 30 years and after perusing the local market for a few years I found a beautiful example of a very well maintained BRG 73 TR6. It was a bit of a rude introduction since the first project was to change the fan belt after my second time out with the car. I was brought quickly up to speed as to what it means to own a British car of this era and after some bruised and bloddied hands the job was done and I recalled the satisfaction of keeping these beauties rolling! The big difference for me was that when we had the MGB's there was no internet all we had was the Haynes Manual, these forums are so helpful when things do come up. i look forward to getting to know you all!

welcome and it looks like a great car! Obviously chosing a Triumph over an MG just means you like a bigger challenge :D - glad you are here!

So far so good 77, pretty much rust free and I couldnt believe it myself even all of the dash lights work! The horns are another story though.
