TR6 71' TR6 "site"

Nice car, nice site. But it doesn't boot from your posting. I accessed it from your personal page. Maybe you could correct that, is the address the same?

Bill

I'm in the process of taking a '72 Jasmine yellow TR6 and turning it into a Laurel Green TR6.

If we keep this up, there may soon be no more Jasmine TR6's around!

sorry bout the music...i just wanted something mellow...

i was never a big fan of the Jasmine Yellow..

I couldnt find the laurel Green so I went with 2002 Jaguar BRG........its gunna be a DRIVER!

I would have taken jasmine over saffron any day. But the final result was the similar. Mine is now mallard.

Great pics and great car. I particularly like the look of the wire wheels. The more I see of those, the more I'm tempted to go that same route on my '71.

Looks great! I love the site as well. I have to admit, I've been playing around with music as well. Here's a page for our site I've been working on that I haven't linked to yet. Still a work in progress.

Will that be the type 9 Ford trans or a different one?

This is a completely rebuilt Ford “Type 9” 5 speed “semi close” or “2.8 sport” designation transmission as used in the 6 cylinder English Ford Sierra sedans outside the USA. These were also the standard transmission on the Mercury Merkur in the USA. This comes with a non-modified or modified (you specify) front cover and the “short” input shaft (160mm). Rebuilt with all new bearings, synchros, layshaft, seals and gaskets, new input shaft and new cluster gear. Ratios are 6 cylinder standard: 1st = 3.36, 2nd = 1.81, 3rd = 1.26, 4th = 1.0, and 5th = .825 . Includes our one year warranty. These are popular for kit cars and conversions for many 4 speed transmissions in many British cars. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/england.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/patriot.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/england.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/patriot.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/england.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/patriot.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/england.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/pukeface.gif

That is a compact five speed. I'll be interested in hearing how it turns out.
