TR6 '71 TR6 License Plate Light Housing

The bumper was off the car when I bought it. The license plate light housing that bolts to the top of the bumper needs lenses, a gasket, bulb contacts, and the screws/nuts. It's a little pitted but is probably ok as a driver for now. Anyone have any parts to this housing? What are the alternatives? Thanks.

I had the holes in mine welded when I re-chomed my bumpers

Art. Vicky Brit list most of these parts, not cheap, IE, gasket 24.95, same for each lens, bulb holders 4 bucks each and my copy is old. Used ones generally have bad pitting and bad bulb holders. I may be able to find one in the warehouse. You have the hard part, the base. Still will not be a $10 item. If you go with new, which I see is the best, don't forget the grommet that goes in the body where the wires go in, major leak source.

I have the base, nuts and screws, and the cover (it has some fine pitting). So what I need is lenses and the bulb holders with wires and a base gasket. Seems like the base holders are going to be similar to any early american type holer that has the spring and single contact. Unless the bulb is not a standard 1057 type bulb or american license plate single filiment bulb. I apologize for my lack of knowledge at this point. It's been a long time since I've worked on a TR and this is one of the first posts on the forum since I joined and started working on a newly acquired '71. Any help is appreciated.

I just picked up a Spitfire assembly that came with the lenses, bulb holders, and wiring that I was missing. It's all used but I'm hoping I can put one together out of the two. The Spitfire assembly has TRIUMPH on it. I'm not sure if TR6s came with the TRIUMPH logo facing the rear. It appears to be identical to the TR6 otherwise. I'm on the cheap right now so I might be able to section the gaskets to make a complete one using black silicone. I know, I know, I'll buy a new gasket when I order some more parts. I just need to get this part of the car driveable, I don't need to be stopped by the PD. BTW, are the bulbs easily obtainable, let's say from NAPA or the other large retail outlets?

Art, we have all been there. Your light with the Triumph on the back was a Spit item only but you will find a lot on TR6's have them on.
The bulb holder is a standard part you can get at most auto parts. Glob lots of gasket maker on the two parts and use a razor blade to cut off the excess once it dries.
Good luck, if you need any of my stuff let me know by PM.

Yes and they are inexpensive.
