Started this some time ago for a GI here at the base..short story is both Cahd and his wife are military and went to S.C. After trips to Iraq and other places and they both got promoted to Msgts.(E-7) they're ready to get the car finished. Problem is he leaves for Korea in Sept. for 13 months...and after that they leave for a four year tour to Germany...So a couple of days ago I uncover this thing and pull it into the build side of the shop...engine installed(dual carbs) all the fenders and most of the lites and chrome trim finished...toady the gas takes and brake lines go on and then a brake bleed. Also the regulators, glass and window scrapers begin....tedious..

Geez, Jack. I need work and you need help. Geography is a harsh mistress.

I know...strange isn't it?? Yesterday I finished the lights up, got most of the composite bits screwed and bolted to the yop frame, have the rear roll up glass ready to install(can't find the box of inner glass seals so just put the tracks and regulators in for now) Today Ill do the same to the front doors...hate misplacing stuff...Being this was a body off, also have to re-install the front brake lines and hoses then bleed all that out. I was supposed to go to Canyon Tx. today and pick up a 63 Beetle for a pal in Germany who is due home later this summer..but I apparently got dehydrated yesterday and am suffering today, have to drink alot more water today since its going to be at least 95.
